The situation at Arsenal mirrors that of Spurs. The Gunners have suffered from two weeks which have brought them back crashing down to earth. Expectations and hopes were raised prior to that when the Gunners were buoyant after restoring their title hopes and could look forward to a Champions League quarterfinal with the trophy holders. Now they are left with only the Premier League title to play for after their European dreams were savaged by Barcelona. There is no denying that the young Gunners team have shown maturity and character to remain in the title race despite continued failures abroad. The best time to show it is now when a win in the North London derby will keep them in the forefront of the title race and perhaps emerge as the main contender to Chelsea. What will affect their chances in the end would be a lenghtening injury list that has laid low some of the club’s best players.

Hardly anyone dares to make a derby prediction as they are highly unpredictable. Spurs will need to show that the season has not been another false dawn by coming out ahead in the battle for North London supremacy. Arsenal have been getting the results required in the Premier League, but most of them have been procured after suffering on the pitch. If they can beat Spurs again with a last minute winner from one of their players, Arsenal will accept the result with both hands. It could be said to be the mark of champions to overcome adversity against the greatest of odds. Gunners manager would not refuse doing so using his philosophy but at this crucial stage, a win would be the only thing that matters. Spurs will not want to end the season again with nothing, especially when they have enjoyed one of their best years in recent memory.

Home repairs are a pain in the backside as far as I am concerned. In having recently been renting – the whole home ownership is getting old fast with me.
